Community Guidelines

The short version

Be kind, protect people and pugs, and share only things you have permission to share. If something feels wrong, report it and our team will take a look.

Keep it warm and safe

• No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, or sexual content.
• No spam, scams, fake support messages, or misleading payment requests.
• Do not share private information about another person, including contact details or anything that could put them at risk.
• Keep animal-care advice safe. Do not encourage dangerous treatment or present guesses as professional veterinary advice.
• Share only photos and words that are yours, or that you have clear permission to use. Never post photos of other people’s children.
• Nothing illegal, ever. We remove it and report it where the law requires.

How moderation works

New posts are reviewed by a person before they appear widely. Comments are checked automatically: a member’s first three comments, comments with links, and comments with words that need a closer look wait for a person to review them. Other comments appear right away. If three different members report the same comment, it is hidden automatically until our team reviews it. We may hide, reject, or remove content that breaks these guidelines, give a warning, or pause posting for 24 hours or 7 days. If we take action on your content, an in-app notice explains what was affected and why.

Reports are private. We tell the person who reported something when we have looked into it, but we do not reveal who reported the content or share another member’s private details.

If we got it wrong

Email hello@cuppapug.comwith “Appeal” in the subject and tell us which post or comment it was. A person will review it, where we can someone who did not make the first decision, and we aim to reply within 14 days. If we got it wrong, we put things right. You can use the same address to complain about content you have seen or about how we handled a report. There are no private messages in the app, so please do not try to move a disagreement into a hidden app conversation.
